The brief was to foster a deeper dialogue on the importance of recognising and respecting the unceded lands and cultures of Aboriginal communities across the nation.
This tower will stand as a powerful symbol of cultural preservation and celebration, embodying deep respect and reciprocity on Yagara Country.
Blaklash led the First Nations design integration, with the design vision shaped by Yagara Elder and Traditional Custodian, Gaja Kerry Charlton. The tower aims to connect with the Goori cultural ecosystem of Yagara Country, acknowledging its cultural value while respecting the inherited knowledge and wisdom of past and present generations.
This vision includes implementing stewardship systems for the land, waters, and skies.
